Holiday houses in/around Zurich

Okay about 10 of my family members are coming to visit me next year and I've been charged with finding them accommodation. So I'm looking into holiday houses and not having much luck- anything big enough to hold 8 or more people is wayyyy out of the city. Anyone know any websites or places worth looking into? Thanks!

Re: Holiday houses in/around Zurich

What's your budget like ?

We had Christmas at the 'Stroh Hotel Senn' which is in Eschenz.

If you rent cars, or can handle the train and act like 'real' tourists, then it's actually not bad at all - about a 45 minute drive to Zurich and with Shaffhausen, Konstanz, and the rest of the lake/river on your doorstep...we took the train for a day and went to Appenzell - you could easily do St Gallen or Liechtenstein for day-trips by public transport...

Oh, and it sleeps 14...virtually brand new - two bathrooms, large kitchen, 5 bedrooms...games area, bikes and stuff for the kids (they do 'sleep in the straw' for school groups in the summer)....

And the price was very reasonable...

If they are coming for 2 weeks or more, look at 'homegate.ch' for 'furnished accomodation' in Zurich. Long listings of furnished apartments for short term rent .

For 1 week or less the simplest might be to book 2-3 rooms in a hotel. Try the Hotel Foyer Hottingen if your family/friends are on a budget.
