Unmarried Couple with Child from Previous Marriage potential issues?

We are thinking of moving to Zurich, just how much of a nightmare can our situation be, I have been divorced from my 15-year-old daughters father for 12 years, he is still in the UK. I am not married to my current partner. He has a potential job offer in Zurich.

Currently we are in Munich and its been really frustrating Kindergeld, tax system, health system because we are not married we do not qualify, because she is not his we cannot claim and various other nightmare situations.

Can anyone give me a heads up of problems we may incur, especially if for the first few months only he is working?

I know its a can of worms but really wish I was fully prepared before moving to Munich so don't want to make the same mistake twice.

Thanks all.
Dotty
