I always put my right sock on before my left one. I only noticed this last week so tried the other way. It felt so wierd I almost lost balance and fell over.
Did you remember to leave your right foot on the ground when you started with the left?

The proper way to eat a fried egg is as follows;

Take your first slice of Warburtons, add chips (yes, there must be chips) and fold in half. Eat this first chip butty, dipping it in the yolk until the runny yolk is gone. Finish eating the chip butty.

Take your second slice of Warburtons, add chips, add the aforementioned egg and fold in half. If there are more eggs, then repeat the procedure until the eggs are eaten.
Just realised, this procedure is for dinner only. For breakfast, replace the chips with bacon.

I bet you're a sock-sock shoe-shoe person as well ... weirdo ...

The only way to dress your feet is sock-shoe sock-shoe! Keeps you from walking about in your socks and wearing them out unnecessarily ...

Re: Weird habits

Sock-shoe sock-shoe sounds nuts. What does one do when you don't wear shoes at home? It's defo sock-sock (or nylons, more likely) and shoe-shoe.

I also eat symetrically, just thought about it today. I don't mind not having a bite composed of all the parts, but gota have equal amounts of the dif dish parts left. Proportionally. Taters/veggies/meats/whatever. It's rather anal. But somehow I thought all people eat this way, then I realized it is true some people eat first part, then 2nd, 3rd...I like cooking meals and arranging them on a plate that there are at least 3-4 parts/sides/meats..or soup or salads, etc. I think I will test myself and eat in a complete disarray tomorrow.

Socks off too - let my feet breathe!! One of the reasons my feet are in good shape (and not smelly!) is that I have nothing on them at all, at every opportunity. Once got told off in Migros (by a staff member) that it was "absolut verbot barfuss zu sein!"*, especially in the drinks section ...
Also, I am a man of extremes with footwear - either nothing, or socks and fully-enclosed shoes. I do not wear sandals, have been known to wear thongs (not underwear, the sort that go on your feet ... some of you may know them by the insulting term "flip-flops") but don't own a pair now.

I don't have a system in which I eat in a particular order, although I used to "save the best to last". Having kids helped change that, as did the conscious realisation that it was leading to overeating (as I would finish the meal, to get to the best bits!).
Will generally finish with something 'lighter', though (eg, salad).
Oh, and I like to have no sauce left when the meal is finished ... but also hate it when the sauce runs out before the meal ...

That one doesn't sound so weird to me ... lots of people have sleeping 'routines' that they follow.

Me, I can fall asleep pretty much anywhere, any time. Fortunately I can also keep myself awake when I really need to!

Re: Weird habits

There are some very interesting posts on here ha ha. I also sleep with a cover up to my neck even in the summer.

I always eat my hot meals in sections. I eat the veg first, then the starchy bit, eg...potatoes, pasta etc etc, then the "main" bit eg, the meat or whatever is left. Always done it, my friends think it's very odd. I have to finish one section before I begin the next. If it's already all mixed together it's fine, but if not, I will eat it separatley. Also if a sauce is put with a meal, for example, ketchup, mustard etc, it canNOT be touching the rest of my food. I have to dip it. Not cover it. All these people who have fries, and cover it in ketchup before eating it.... eurgh, it makes me feel sick. Gross.

Another one I noticed recently, I have to fill up a glass or a bottle all the way to the top, even if I am only going to drink a mouthful of it. I just do it without even realising.

I'm sure there are other little things that most people have, ie, I'm sure most people always get dressed/undressed in the same order etc.

But yes....some very interesting ones on here! hee hee.

why just at home? I think it's perfectly reasonable to take my Kindle to restaurants. What else am I supposed to do when on business trips and eating alone - talk to myself?

That´s the thing, even when I am not alone So, its not very polite..but for me its boring to eat without the book..If it doesnt count as a weird habit, than maybe sleeping with socks replaces that
