Re: Moving here for love...staying after the breakup - advice?

No risk, no fun.

The trick is to be ready to take risks again sometime after recovering when the next opportunities present themselves.....then the fun can (re) start.

Easier to write about than do of course.....

Re: Moving here for love...staying after the breakup - advice?

i got to know switzerland because of a girl i fell in love with. we had a munich-zurich-connection and after 1.5 years i thought: well, nice place, i wanna live here AND be together with my girl. i believe many dont have the luxury to check out the place first and think about the "what if´s....???". once the bad happens, i say go with the EF events. try to mingle, make new acquaintances etc. i played football on sundays and this was just a boost for me as i was a bit isolated as didnt knew so many people than i did back in germany. my social life was nowhere near exciting. i went to concerts with EFers, went to talacker drinks, skiing events etc. voila: heart ache i handled ok for that miserable period of time and now im happy again...

Re: Moving here for love...staying after the breakup - advice?

Now that this thread has been entirely gratuitously revived by a bout of necroposting-a-year-after-it-went-dark, I might as well ask: so what did Paulie707 eventually decide? Anyone know how the mystery was solved?

It's encouraged to UTFS function to find similar subjects you wish to chat about before posting a new thread.

.. thus necro-post-revival is a favorite past-time

Clearly this is true. I suppose "gratuitous" comes across as pejorative, but I used it purely in its technical sense

I did UTFS to see if I could figure out how the story ended. It felt like stalking, and now I know that Paulie707 took up rafting, sold his bike, moved apartments, terminated a contract, and started another thread about how he had no luck with Swiss girls. So it was more a saga than a novel.
