The English have arrived in Basel (07.09.10)

Just seen coaches disgorging English fans by Kundstmuseum. I think I'll stay away from the town centre this evening.

Re: The English have arrived in Basel (07.09.10)

On my way through town yesterday evening I could see the police riot vans were out parked already on many of the streets leading to Pickwicks. Steinen was very busy for Monday night.

As you say best avoid the city centre tonight .....

Pat

"the English have arrived" .... a french expression used by women to announce menstrual period. Its origin came from when english soldiers with red uniforms landed on 1st june 1815 in France to fight Napoleon.
