Check out Rigpa Switzerland at the above link. They have a centre in Zurich and are offering a course called "What meditation really is" They are a Tibetan Buddhist group and you can see an example of the lama here:

If by any chance you're interested in Falun Gong, there are groups all over Switzerland: http://www.falundafa.ch/index.php?op...d=51&Itemid=64

Re: Buddhist meditation in Zurich??

hi or shall i say Oooom

I recommend the Tibetian center in Altstetten, near the end of the tram 3 line .
If you like the Dali Lama, this is the place
There is also Buddhist center in Altstetten that i have not checked out
perhaps you can try googling
but the Tibetian center does quite a lot of activities
I used to attend regular lessons with a Tibetian Monk
If you are on facebook, he is on there too
If you are interested i will get back to you on that , i can not remember his full name.

Good luck

Re: Buddhist meditation in Zurich??

The real question is which buddhism?

For zen buddhism, Lassalle Haus is a good place, not in Zürich but not far. No idea about price, I just know people who are active there.
http://www.lassalle-haus.org/

The shogen center is strictly zen, it's not everybody's taste but it's genuine and in the city Aegertenstrasse. "Donation" price is somewhere in the website.

Re: Buddhist meditation in Zurich??

I am interesting in learning about Buddhism and I was wondering does anyone go to the SGI Centre in Altsetten, and if they speak English? Or can anyone recommend an english speaking group who could help me learn more.

Many thanks
J

Hi Rajix,

I am looking for a SGI community in Zug. Would you be able to ask your sister in law or your mom about their practice in Zug? I would love to know when and where they have their meetings.
I have been trying to contact SGI from Zurich, but I would love to participate in a community in Zug.

Thank you,
Gabriela
