Ideas for a romantic weekend in Geneva

Hi all,

I am new to Geneva therefore in need of guidance.

Could you please share any ideas for a romantic weekend in Geneva.

Its my wifes 30th birthday on Sunday so wanted to do something special. We are new to Geneva so dont have friends yet.

As a minimum I will need a dinner place recommendation - any additional tips etc will be awesome.

Also, I wanted to buy some jewellery as i reckon she would love it but it seems over priced (in branded shops) Any decent places I could check out?

Welcome to Geneva

For a very cosy and romantic restaurant I can recommend La Favola
(Rue Jean-Calvin) in the old town.

Tip! Try to get a table on the upper floor.

If your wife likes to go to the spa After the rain (Passage des Lions) is a nice one.

I've heard that if you ask the clerks at IKEA ( nicely ) they will do a special lock in on saturday night.

you can have your choice of the bedrooms and all the swedish meatballs you can eat.

just sayin'
