Long hair in boys allowed in Basel high schools? International, private or public?

So i'm going to move to Basel because of a Job offer my mom is getting. I already finish high school in my country (here people finish high school at 17, but im 18) but I wanted to do a last year of high school on Basel so I adapt better to the system. I may join a private or international private high school in Basel, but I wanted to see how the rules are in the Swiss education. Is long hair in boys allowed in the private international high school of basel? And is it allowed or forbidden in the other systems like the private and public? Im particularly interested in"academia International School" is it allowed there?
Also when I say long Im talking mostly about hair to the level of the neck or shoulders (thats the longest i will leave mine) Also My hair is at the level of my chin but I just covered my forehead and move to one side so its doesnt get too much in my eyes, but still covers my forehead. Thanks a lot.

As long as you mum pays the fees for an international school, nobody will bother. Tell her to pay at least 25 k per term

I'd be more concerned about speaking a Swiss language or not than my hair, particularly if public school turns out to be the only option. What are your plans/aspirations for the future education and/or work-wise? Do you want to go on to university or go straight into a job after you finish your education? Because both will require you speak a Swiss language well enough to understand and be understood.

Have we gone back to the 70s? Didn't think that was the remotest of questions any more (although the number sporting long hair seems to be way less than back then).

No offense, but why on earth would you want to redo high school if you already graduated? Go to a university, they are both cheaper and way more fun than some school. If the Swiss universities don't accept your high school diploma do they probably offer some preperation year or similar... still more fun.

P.S: You will not integrate by joining an international school. That's the point of them - they are for expats who go somewhere for a short period of time and want their kids to learn in a system that's compatible with wherever the next job is.

Yes it's allowed, and no one here cares about how you wear your hair.

Re: Long hair in boys allowed in Basel high schools? International, private or public

I was only speaking to my husband about this the other night. I think it would be a great idea to learn as much German before you go and do a year at a local high school, although I'm not too clued up on getting into public high school here. I wish I had done an exchange to a foreign country instead of going straight into university to a course that I had no passion to do. I was probably too scared to do it as a 17-year-old when I finished school, but even better to be living with your Mother and have that support if you need it.
Just reread and saw that you want to go to a private school, and not sure if you need German for that, but you'll have more fun with the locals if you can learn some German before you get here.

I know, someone had already answered the question. I should just keep my mouth shut, or fingers from typing sometimes, shouldn't I ?!
