Robotics System and Control, ETH Zürich

Hey
Does anyone here perhaps know someone who studied/studies Robotics System and Control in the ETH Zürich? I have a couple of questions about the application process.

Yes.
But would suggest that you go through the usual ETH channels.

The problem is that the ETH doesn't provide student counciling to non-ETH students.

Re: Robotics System and Control, ETH Zürich

I've already read the information on their website. I was hoping to get some information about things that the university doesn't publicly publish; for example, how high exactly should my class rating be for me to have a chance to get into the program

You give no background, and expect answers?
Edit: Have just seen that you've just now provided some background.

More helpful than the "hey, how do I do this" approach. And you forgot the English in your language profile.

If they don't publish them, why would you expect they'd tell you??? And furthermore anyone on here who works there, would not be in a position to disclose confidential information, especially to some random person on the internet.

All you can do is follow the procedures as required and hope for the best.

Re: Robotics System and Control, ETH Zürich

All I wanted was for someone WHO APPLIED TO THE PROGRAM to tell me how high they grades and class ratings are for me to compare with them. I never said anything about someone who works for the faculty.

but forget it, it doesn't seem like you are interested to help

Re: Robotics System and Control, ETH Zürich

In the future, all Robotics System[sic][*] and Control will be performed by robots. You can see where I'm going here...

[*] Maybe not let the ETH guys know how you mangled the name.

Re: Robotics System and Control, ETH Zürich

Gee, tough crowd. Of course he has to apply through the usual channels.

I think it's normal when applying to uni to see how your scores compare to others and whether or not you have a snowball's chance. ETH has a reputation for being very competitive. Maybe OP didn't phrase it perfectly, but there's nothing wrong with wanting a bit more info from someone who has been through the process. Lighten up, folks!

There is a method of asking, that even ETH graduates need to learn.
Have spent several years working with, entertaining in my daughters same World ETH students - and your approach was sh*t.

There are many other (and better ways) to get input into your bachelor thesis.

Excuse me very much, sir/madame, but I was trying to be polite to you even though you show this unexplainable antagonism towards me, perhaps you have a personal distaste for millennials or Germans or whatever, that is none of my business but please let me make a few things clear
1. I'm an adult; I'm a stranger to you. You don't know my background, you don't know my physical/mental history.
2. I am not one of your daughters; i may be the same age as them, but you're not my father. Please don't try to educate me.
3. I have created this thread to gather information to help me with my already distanvantaged application to the ETH Zurich. If you don't have any viable information to add. I kindly ask you to stop commenting this thread

Thank you

Two things really:

- Why would you thing you are at a disadvantage? And if you feel that you will be treated that way, why apply?

- This is a public forum, you do not get to say who comments or not.

Is there any way you post a few more of these achingly self-entitled pieces?

I'm training up an NN to identify prissy millennials, and you're hitting the spot.

To be educated is, like, the very reason you started this thread.
