Welcome to the Forum. I don't know the answer to your question, but this post contains a link to the organization you should contact.

Um, not sure on this one. Medicine is a restricted study subject here, open only to certain individuals, but how it works for post grads I don't know.

I suggest you contact the relevant organisation given here and see what they have to say about it.

Right off the bat, it's going to be VERY difficult indeed. The most important question: Do you speak French or German?

Stick to this forum, please. Others may find this information useful.

Getting to fluent German or French is essential in getting your degree validated. The next step will be to get in touch with MEBEKO: https://www.bag.admin.ch/bag/de/home...on-mebeko.html

Here, you'll need to apply for equivalency. Seeing as you're non-EU, you'll need to fulfil the following requirements (in addition to whatever MEBEKO says):

Please do not ask other users to share their private contact information with you. If you have questions, odds are others in a similar situation have the same questions.

Whatever experiences and information Mahaviir has, that information is not going to give you some special, secret leg up compared to others. The harsh reality is that as a non-EU the bar to medicine here is set quite high.

Precisely. Thank you, 3Wishes.

Drroy, I highly recommend you get in touch with the relevant authority (linked above) and follow the procedure. Your degree needs to be validated before a hospital will take you on to their residency programs.

Hi Sourav
Welcome to Switzeralnd and this forum

read my post:
https://www.englishforum.ch/permits-...citizen-3.html

I am doing medical residency in Kanton Bern. As, I have done my MBBS in India. So, the Process is same for all from non EU degree holders. Steps are mentioned.

Step 1: learn german upto min. B2, pass the exam & get a certificate.
Step 2: Register yourself "Swiss Med. register" (similar to MCI registeration in India).
Step 3: find a job as Intern or resident/JR.
lemme know once you have reached upto here.

I hope, it could help you in some way.

Have a nice weekend

R
