Qualifications needed to become a french teacher in the german part of Switzerland

Hello,

I am doing DUFLE (Diplome universitaire en francais langue etrangere) from france and the planning to do Masters en francrais langue etrangere/secondaire (FLE)

Is Master en FLE valid in switzerland?

Do I need to study or obtain a particular degree to teach french and english in schools or institutes ,if yes what course would be the appropriate one ?

Are the schools open to intake non swiss and EU citizens for working ?

What qualifications are needed to become an English teacher?

Is learning german compulsory to work even in international schools?

I don't know about the rest, but international schools can employ whoever they want regarding qualifications and skills etc.

Welcome to the Forum. :)

The market for English language teachers in Switzerland is oversaturated, so skip that idea if you're not a Swiss or EU citizen (or married to one) and if you're not a native English speaker. I don't know about French teachers, but I imagine it's similarly saturated with native speakers.

If you want to teach French in the German-speaking part of Switzerland then you'd probably need at least B2 German as well as C1-2 French.

If you're not married to a Swiss or EU citizen then you can't just move here and apply for jobs. An employer has to prove they can't find a Swiss or EU to do the job. If you're married to a Swiss or EU citizen, then the permit situation is easier. :)

Just in case, the non-EU hiring criteria are here:

I may have read the OP differently than you did. This bit made me think OP might not be Swiss or EU, so I included the info just in case. :)
