Good web sites for job search in Zurich?

Hello, my girlfriend is looking for a job in Zurich. 27 years old, university degree in Business Administration in Latvia, very good english and russian but NO GERMAN. Any tips about good web sites for job search in Switzerland? She is pretty flexible: she interested in marketing but she could also accept a position as executive assistant.

Also try www.topjobs.ch

With a busines degree (and no German), your girlfriend may be better off trying one of the banks directly such as Credit Suisse or UBS (both have an on-line job portal).

Re: Good web siteS for job search in Zurich?

All depends on her previous work experience. If she has international work experience or prior has worked for any MNCs i Latvia she will be better off.

Also beeing from EU8 could push back potentiall employers a bit as disregarding the separate quota all the paperwork to employ her will be similar to the third country residents (if nothing has changed in May this year EU8 will be treated as equal to the old EU countries hence beeign from Lativa won't he a harsel any more).

And agree with Bobster's suggestion to approach banks AND any MNCs (chemicals) directly and not only in Zurich, but also in Basel.

Bobster and Funky Donkey are pretty much on the money. Go direct at the moment, agents will not be entirely helpful because of the permit situation. Things may change after May.

Strangely enough. I received rejections when I applied directly to some jobs. I re-applied through headhunters and received interviews which
lead to offers.

I just really didn't understand, but I got a job offer that I want.

The important factor is one's nationality here though. EU17 nationals will get a much better reaction from agents than non EU17, in very general terms.

Re: Good web sites for job search in Zurich?

Actually I hope my girlfriend could send directly applications to the companies and not through an agent.
I was looking more for web sites for job search, not necessarely head hunters and so on.
Thank you anyhow for the suggestions!

Re: Good web sites for job search in Zurich?

Hi All! Just a quick note to thank all of you for the VERY GOOD tips. My girlfriend started to look for a job looking at the web sites you mentioned.
If you hear of any junior sales & marketing position in international companies "around Zurich", please send me a private message.
She has a university degree in Business Administration, very good english, perfect russian. She understands but she doesn't speak german. She would be also fine with a temporary or part-time contract if the job is interesting and there are good development opportunities.
Thank you again!
