Working days in a month for salary calculations

Apologies if this has been covered, but I can't seem to find any info on this.

Is anyone aware of the Swiss or Zurich accepted normal (or official average) working days in a month for salary calculations? i.e. working 18 out of a possible 21 working days in Jan, as opposed to out of 31 days in Jan? Therefore wages are:

CHF monthly rate x 18/21

not

CHF monthly rate x (18 week days + 6 weekend days in between start and end date)/31

Where the latter is significantly less...
