The most essential book for interviews and getting hired

I know that there are so many web pages for such things.
No need to run into book libraries. So many valuable information can be found in several related sites.
Besides that, I imagine that there could exist a specific book, printed or in ebook form(pdf etc), that it could be described like 'the first and most essential book for anybody that wants to get hired to a company', this is how I can describe it. Like hiving a friend telling you, 'do not approach companies if you have not read this book first'.
So, does such a book exists?
Something like the 'bible' of this specific topic, a book that stands out from the crowd of other similar books.
Maybe I am searching for something that it is not exist, at least in form of a single book, but if there is such a thing, I would like to be sure that I have read it, and I would like you to tell it to me, if you know it!

Surely there would be too many variables to consider, such as where the company is based, what kind of company it is, the size of the company, the nature of the clients, and so on?

An interview for a school is going to be nothing like an interview for Google or a building firm.

The book would have to be so vague as to be useless.

There are just 3 books you need to read to get a handle on work

What Color Is Your Parachute? - some good all round advice with a great section on identifying your skills and even has a section about coping with unemployment

Find The Job You Love - the basic concept is that you should enjoy your work and its a way of finding that

The Joy Of Work - its kind of a parody about self help but there are enough stories and jokes (which ALWAYS have an element of truth) which are useful
