Minimum wage for unqualified day care intern

Hello

I know this would have been asked many times,so sorry for it.

I have been offered a job as day care intern, and the salary offered is 850 CHF per month for 45 hours per week (I know its very less)

I am unqualified day care intern.Do not have any qualification or experience.
Should I take up the job for so less salary.

Thanx

Re: Minimum wage for unqualified day care intern

That is the standard remuneration for an intern (Praktikantin) in Child care.

It is not to be considered a salary since you, as an intern, are assumed to be in training.

Re: Minimum wage for unqualified day care intern

If you are serious about becoming a qualified childcare worker, try to also get them to plan with you how you might be able to begin your apprenticeship...

It's common in child care to have praktikantin for 1 year before they begin their apprenticeships - there should be lots of on-the-job training in that year, as well as the chance to really explore whether it's the right career...

You could also ask them if there budget would run to 1,000 Fr. a month. This reimbursement is also not uncommon.
