Looking for work in stores for a teen

Hi,

I have been trying, unsuccessfully for a good seven months, to find a job in Switzerland. I have IT tech skills and am Cisco certified, However, They all seem to want XX years experience which is obviously hard to get when you are 19 years old.

I have decided to just look for jobs in stores but need some recommendations of places I can ask. I was thinking Migros/Aldi/Lidl/Denner and so on, Simple jobs that don't require experience and are enough to help me start my new life in Switzerland.

If anyone has any recommendations it would be extremely helpful.

Thanks, Ian

Try looking through some other threads. Getting an IT job here seems to depend on your nationality and languages spoken. You might mention those if you want some meaningful replies.

The route to a job in IT usually involves a university degree. For working in retail an apprenticeship is usual and you are past the age for that. Have you considered University?

On the whole, the folk on here are the people doing the work, not the folk hiring workers. (There are exceptions though).

Have a good read in here about what other people looking for jobs have done to further their cause and when you are eligible, but not before, you can post a jobs wanted Ad in the Market Place and see if anything comes up.
