Re: C2 Help!!...Teaching Positions

I've just re-read the initial post, and it is not clear to me. Do you wish to teach English- in which case I agree C2 is not required. Or are you intending to teach kindergarten/primary school as a main/general teacher?

Agree. Also not sure if English is her mother tongue or not.

Re: C2 Help!!...Teaching Positions

Neither kindergarten nor primary, if I've understood correctly. From the OP's second post, it seems that she currently works at a private daycare facility, wants to continue working at another private daycare but have her child care qualifications recognized as equivalent to the standard Swiss qualifications. So far, the Swiss authorities will not consider giving her this recognition, on the basis that the equivalent Swiss qualification includes local language ability she has not shown.

Recognition would be a fine thing, but I don't think that the lack of it will necessarily keep her from getting a job - private daycares can employ who they want, right?

As others have said I would expect the requirements to vary by employer where they are not legally mandated. So she can work on her German, but in the meantime is free to look around for jobs that don't require the whole equivalency rigmarole. How thick or how thin on the ground those jobs are I've no idea though...
