Basel - CV Photos.

Okay, so, checking out my resume I see that it is very American (big surprise ) and needs refining.

There is a job I'm (very!) interested in which is listed on a recruitment site and their suggested CV template includes a photo.

I have read the pro / con discussions on EF about whether or not to include a photo and whether or not to simply use a kiosk photo and have come to the conclusion that if the template suggested by recruiter is requesting a photo, one should be included AND because the nature of the job is (somewhat) luxury fashion, a professional photo is the best idea.

So... Does anyone have suggestions on who to see about getting a professional CV photo done in Basel? (The other links I've seen lead to Zürich photgraphers.)

I don't know which part of Basel you are at but if Reinach is familiar to you, then I would suggest the following Photographer.

Foto Klick
Hauptstrasse 5
4153 Reinach
Tel: 061 713 18 90

I had mine done there. They have a couple of Bewerbungs Photo packages and you get to choose the ones you want copied on a disk. I can't remember the exact price but it was around CHF100-150.

Re: Basel - CV Photos.

I had to get a photo in some weird dimensions in a visit to the US American embassy ...

It was something like 55 CHF for 30 seconds of work with the professional photographer. Imagine my surprise when I see a photo booth inside the embassy... let you guess the price for that one.

I would suggest you dress to impress and use a tripod (table) to take a picture of yourself. Borrow a nice camera from a friend if you don't have one and play with it the whole day. You can even touch it up if you are into such kind of thing.

I am sure you will be more satisfied with the result if you just take your time.
