I am losing my touch... ever since the mods closed my willy thread I have been sulking on the sofa watching Snooker. The iPad is to clumsy to get into an online brawl. CJ home tonight after two weeks away so I need to save my testosterone for her arrival.

I hate to bung the proverbial spanner in the otherwise Swiss like perfectly oiled machine but I reckon you should be paid more.
Net of tax and vas medical ins etc you will net around 6k take out 3k for rent and that don't leave zip for jimmy choo. Now the "I can live on fresh air " brigade are going to press as we type but if you hear me out. Someone in a position of absolute trust (procurement responsibility) should not be left eating the plat du jour because they will find another way to get the fillet mignon if you get my drift.and that will cost the company a whole lot more. If they cheap off on the salary they pay big time in the end. I'm I padding so plse excuse the atrocious spelling

Re: salary on par ???

I've been lurking for a while and searching to my heart's content. And I still can't figure out how one can afford (sorry for using the "a" word) life in CH.

We have 3 kids, and would like to have a big enough house/apartment to fit us all in. There is no offer yet, but the interview should happen soon and I am obsessing over all aspects of life/salaries/rent/cost of meat, etc. The area would be Zürich/Horgen. I have been searching homegate and other housing websites and it seems like rents for 4 bedroom places are north of 5000 CHf. Am I missing something? The numbers freak me out quite a bit...and I thought the Munich area was expensive.

Thanks in advance!

No, you are not really missing something: Salaries are higher here than in Germany and the taxes are much lower. However, prices are in general sky high - trust me, the rent is only the start. So for DINKs as us Switzerland is financially a great place to be - for a family with one income and three kids Germany might very well be better.

lol, you make me laugh, I like you! These guys are all bitter for whatever reason. Probably tired of only getting affection from their hand. I don't know why they think we have to explain our whole lives to them. I've been called a sex worker and a bible beater (by the same person) and i've only been here for two days. I actually find it kind of comical how off the wall and confused they are. Maybe if I hang around I will hear some more crazy stuff about myself.

Best of luck to you!!

No, you have not. Just read it again, as various other people asked you before: Ittigens post was not at all about you and did not call anyone anything, only stated a fact (that sex workers get paid up-front). The only thing you showed so far is that you are a funny combination of being pretty thick and egocentric. If you continue to project any joke on yourself and annoy people for days about it, you will hopefully be banned soon.

Possibly about as off the wall as someone that would post something wrong that was so easily checked?
Lots of people start off here on the wrong foot Cali (me as well) and it takes a little time to adjust to the community, but you won't make it an easier IF you want to stay long term by looking for sympathy this way. Why not try again with some good solid posts and threads of your own?
Happy Easter

Oh, I will avoid common sense and logic then.

Firstly, I don't see how your gender should make a difference.
Secondly, can we at least know what it is you do ?
To the OP:
Firstly, gender does make a difference.
Secondly, I dare you to find a better wage.
Thirdly, talk to your boss if you're unhappy with your wage. And if you don't want to rock the boat, then just sit contentedly and fish.
Fourthly, having a masters does not guarantee anything.
Fifthly, golf is expensive in Switzerland. Take up hiking instead.
Sixthly, I'm related to your boss. I'll put in a good word for you.

Why the dare ? Isn't this a bit of a late over-reaction ? Nobody is comparing their own salary here. If you read carefully you will see post banter helpful comments from me.

...and who said I was unhappy ? I am at the happiest point in my life right now, career wise, and personally.

I think you misinterpreted.
