It's cheaper to cross the border to France to get a rabbit.

And you can claim the VAT back from the shop. But my Swiss colleagues told me that Swiss rabbits are of superior quality.

So just as an innocent but interesting question that includes tax deductions?
It includes tax at source on income deductions. Given the OP's location of Vaud and assuming 12 salary payments base salary will be in the range of 150-160k per annum (dependant upon pension contributions). Plus bonus plus car. Doesn't sound bad, but personally I'll be expecting more when I have over 20 years experience, because I'm greedy

Because CH is a nation of cooked cheese eaters, all Swiss rabbits originate from and are directly descended from Welsh rabbits, and are very tasty when cooked under the grill.

But on the other hand do you sometimes get some free beer when you buy the rabbit in France.

Welcome to the Forum.

Zurich and Geneva are extremely expensive. Bern, Lucerne and Basel are moderately expensive. Maybe you can live in the Olten or Saint Gallen area and commute to Zurich, the train service is excellent.

Please start a new thread and don't de-rail this one.

.
yeah - sorry to de-rail the fatal attraction theme of this thread! Since the job would be in Horgen I am not sure if the train is as attractive and currently we live very close to work so commuting by bike is possible and we like that. But I won't bog down this thread any longer. Happy Easter!

lol, you make me laugh, I like you! These guys are all bitter for whatever reason. Probably tired of only getting affection from their hand. I don't know why they think we have to explain our whole lives to them. I've been called a sex worker and a bible beater (by the same person) and i've only been here for two days. I actually find it kind of comical how off the wall and confused they are. Maybe if I hang around I will hear some more crazy stuff about myself.

Best of luck to you!!
You still haven't got hold of the right end of the stick have you? And you're not only still beating about the bush with it, but attempting even to dig a big hole for yourself with it.

She's doing the same on other completely unrelated threads - I guess you left an impression.

Make sure you lock your doors.

yes, better lock the doors. I may travel 1000s of miles to come knock on your door. that would be interesting, wouldn't it?

that poor bunny is so cute.

No, you have not. Just read it again, as various other people asked you before: Ittigens post was not at all about you and did not call anyone anything, only stated a fact (that sex workers get paid up-front). The only thing you showed so far is that you are a funny combination of being pretty thick and egocentric. If you continue to project any joke on yourself and annoy people for days about it, you will hopefully be banned soon.
That's not true. I said I expect a deposit up front and he said sex workers get deposits up front in response. Seems pretty straight forward?

Whatever the case, I am not a sex worker nor am I a bible beater. I am probably closer to a sex worker than a bible beater because I am agnostic and I like sex. That's all. I didn't know sex work was a respected profession, I thought he was calling me a prostitute or a whore indirectly. I have never had sex for money, nor do I own or read a bible. Let's get that out of the way. I am sorry if I misinterpreted anyone but I believe that it was his intent to compare me to a hooker.

I don't care if I get banned. I requested removal of my accocunt but it hasn't happened yet.

It was not, as he (and others) have explained.

Accounts cannot be cancelled.

If you don't like the English Forum, all you have to do is log off and never return.

By the way, you received a couple more answers in your original thread. You might want to go and read them before you leave.

Well, this is a crap "Is This Salary Enough" thread

It started off OK - clueless OP, people taking the piss, others pointing out relevant threads, going totally off topic - but it's just not funny enough.

To be honest Douglas, I don't vote anyway. I know it is terrible.

I did read the responses, just didn't reply. I've learned that I have to travel before making a big move. Plus, I need to finish the projects I am working on because I need to have consistent income. I don't want to rely on finding a job. I don't particularly care for desk work. I also don't want to piss away a bunch of money while looking for work that I may or may not find.

Thanks for your insight. Who knows what I will do. Things are still very up in the air. I don't think the UK is for me but perhaps I can travel there. My uncle just moved to London.

Cali, mate. What is your problem? Do you just like virtual reality combat? Then play a pc game. I don't think your impressing anyone with this old tosh so why not take an honest suggestion earlier on and get serious , make some interesting comments and get people interested to interract ?
Threatening to come knock on peoples doors? Come on. You have no idea with whom you are talking so really it's not a serious comment at all.
