Just get a new job, if you stay in this situation it will make you sick. Nice colleagues are more important that the work you do, move on and forget these people

i didnt read all posts, but there are many comments "get a new job" ???? what happens if there is mobbing also in the new job??
I think this is the worst advice.
Why are you getting a new job? Because somebody is mobbing you. Maybe he/she can get a new job or stop mobbing.
At least, before you get a new job, you can try to mob back or something like this.
i am not expert, but my suggestion:
Behave the same way, as he behaves, ignore/do not listen, let him feel like he is talking in the air/wall, talk bad about his behaviour to other work collegues during lunch/breaks...etc

I have a similar situation, when the culprits are trying to say something I just walk away rudely or turn my back saying "Send it to me in writing/email."

Just ignore them! If they see that you are weak and that you care about what they are doing to you , then they will continue hurting you. Pretend they are not there and mind your own business.

As soon as the abuse starts walk away. Take a note of what happened, with the date, time and who was present. If you feel you can't handle it any more, go see a doc, explain how you're feeling, and get signed off sick (stress). Make appointments to see your bosses. Note down when you did. And every time they've knocked it back. Build up a dossier. Take the dossier with you when you see an employment lawyer.
The job is over. The aim here is to gather enough evidence that your employer will give you a nice payoff, rather than be embarassed by their incompetence at dealing with staff interpersonal issues.

I won't at all help you to mob your colleague. Acting vice versa doesn't help your situation. I know you have a hard time due to that but there are actions you can take: First of all stop being the victim and stop feeling like it! Start a so called mobbing diary. Pencil down every single incident, with exact date, time and people involved (later can be witnesses). Mobbers are usually very weak themselves. Once you have enough facts collected seek the advice of a lawyer with your diary and the names of witnesses. Keep going, they will stop if they can't find a victim anymore. All the best for you.

I was mobbed at work. Same situation as you, to me my superior was unbearable, but came across as an angel to upper management.
I kept a diary but it was useless. When I had meetings with the management and HR they didnt want to know about it. I told them I had things written down and they still didnt want to see it, believing this could be resolved without going into details.
Eventually I was let go purely for "not getting along with my superior".

| | Re: Help me mobbing my colleague!!!! Me thinks a mobbing diary is later helpful together with a lawyer. You need to have proof of mobbing somehow. Never discuss that with the superiors. Take legal action when it gets worse. Mobbing is a difficult subject. I know a colleague of mine had to deal with bossing/mobbing. His "revenge" was to call in sick and he has streched it out for almost 2 years!! @piazza: sorry to read that this has happened to you. How did you solve the situation? |

I dont think this is allowed by law, but you can always say you didnt have a choice. Get a hidden camera, or tape conversation only. I would have done this, at least you will embaress them, and i dont think you can end up in jail )

This is a criminal offence and can land you in jail (albeit only for 3 years ) or you could be fined. Strafgesetzbuch, Art. 179

I am not evil or anything like that....I have been mobbed by the 2 of my colleague it has been more than 5 months.
Especially one of them behave like an angel in front of the management team and once we are alone, he treats me like a maid in the office.
Last time we were alone and he took advantage of the situation and started to yell at me and it was scandalous.....I informed the management and none seemed to care about it and they postponed my meeting till another few weeks cause they are under time pressure...
I was convinced that they wont seem to be any solution to my problem. Nobody seems to believe me, since my colleague shows the best image in front of them!
I thought the only solution is to treat him likewise and start mobbing him the way he is....
I dont have this character, do you have any tips on how i can do that?
I cant work, cant concentrate and feel miserable 24 hours on 24!!! | | | | | Has he done it so long that you could not sit at a table with him to discuss the matter rationally?

Have you made an official complaint? as in fill out a form and it goes to head office so its taken more seriously? I agree that you should collect evidence against them so that when they do play the innocent you have something to prove them wrong. Nobody should have to put up with this sort of treatment in the workplace, if you love your job as much as you say you do, then you need to stand up and fight for it!! Dont go down to their level and try do the same thing to them, rise above it and you will come out the better, stronger and more respected person. It may be hard but will be worth it. There is surely somewhere you can go for advise on how to deal with this in a proper manner? Or as somebody else mentioned get a lawyers advise? Even get a letter just to frighten them a bit maybe?? i hope you can sort things out sooner rather than later |

. | | | | | Heheh I do trust you, I know it is like that. But I think sth stinks here. I would change the law. And alowed to use this only in mobbing purposes. It is just with like that arabic law. If you steal they cut your hand off. It is brutal, but would you steal after you see someone without hand. One has to be sacrifised for good of others. Now we are offtopic, but think it would be useful to alow taping....I think word mobbing wouldnt exist after that anymore |

And law doesnt exist there in many cases. You solve things on your own, and sometimes I love my jungle of country. My uncle had terrible problem with mobbing , and he is a professor at high school. He taped his collegue, and went to general director. That collegue almost resigned after that, he was so embarresed, that he eventually appologiesed to my uncle. Well, it works 100%, just that it is a pitty you cant use it.
