that didn't last long, better check if your permit allows you to change jobs first

My permit allows me to switch jobs..."B" one year...here on a long term contract...it's all good.

and here's where you taking that job on a stupid low salary can come back and bite you on the ass! going for a 200k job from an 80k job will be a non starter

Hey at least I have the option to be here, no one else was willing to even try to sponsor a work permit, saying it was "too difficult", "unlikely to be approved, etc"...yeah...that was obviously all false since I'm sitting here in Switzerland.
I'm guessing 200 chf is too much, I was thinking the job is worth 120CHF, but I could be wrong, I'm also considering my experience. But that is why I'm here to ask.

I'm not so sure. One of my friends found themselves in a position where they accepted a job with much lower than their normal earnings and the next employer (whose package was much more in line with my mates previous earnings) looked upon it favourably. Something along the lines of "better to work than be unemployed".

As a dependent employee between 110-130K/year
As a contractor between 800-1000/day
depends on the sector and size of the company

110k to 130k depending on the entire package, salary is not always the only thing to consider | This user would like to thank Mowvich for this useful post: | |

ok. try that amount but may be not "mention" that when interviewing. You must have a figure in your head that is your bottom line. See what they offer and whether it meet with your expectation. If you are really good, they might offer you more and I have used it before as well, because I seems like hestiate, they up the offer to get me to say yes.
Good luck.

You do not have to mention your previous salary at all. If they ask you, tell them that is a private matter, which it is!
be aware that in Switzerland if you tell another employee your salary you have broken the confidence the company placed in you, and you can be instantly dismissed.

being on a b permit, if he does goto a new company they'll know he previous salary anyway. Telling an interviewer to mind there own business is almost guaranteed to blow your chances
