Reminds me of a story i heard on NPR (National Public Radio in the US) about underpaid, overworked, and ill-treated nannies in New York. Most were immigrants. You might enjoy listening to the story too.

They always had au pairs, and all of them with same conditions. No sorry, live in 700 Chf per month, live out 800 Chf.
They are swiss, he works in Roche and she just lie down on the sofa the whole day.
I really hope that people who come here has more chances than me, and no more this kind of abusses!!!

Then i'd definitely go and ask for advice, and tell them the conditions in which they employ so called 'au pairs'- but make sure you are absolutely sure of your facts, so things can't turn against you. If they regularly abuse the Au Pair system (and girls) like this- then they should be reported.

Not so. Au Pairs are seen as special employees with rigid controls and the Arbeitsamt will be interested to hear the alleged behaviour of the family referenced in this thread.

Absolutely.
In fact, I was referring to the good reference the op wants from her previous employer. I guess the Arbeitsamt cannot garantee for a "good" reference.
