You would be looking at about 4200 a month brutto.
After RAV, Pensionskasse, Tax etc.. you'd be taking home about 3100 chf a month

I am looking for a .NET Developer's daily rate working as a contractor to be more specific. Experience is in Internet and Technology Industry. Looking for a job in any industry.

Just to clarify, I am checking the rate for a friend who is interested in moving to Switzerland in the near future.

Depends very much on what industry it is, otherwise all we can say is that it is between 600,- and 1500,-

What about .NET consultants who can write BASIC programs on the ZX Spectrum? Can I buy a Porsche with that?

12 in a dozen these days. Without any specialist skills you would be competing with the near- and offshorers. 600-800 pd, if you get lucky you might get 1000 with a high priority project with urgent needs. I really doubt anyone would offer 1500.
