Just to add, the job offered is a permanent one, so would be in Neuchatel on long term visa

A while back € 60,000 was nearly CHF. 100,000 but today it's getting closer and closer to CHF. 60,000 which would be very very tight for a family to live on (depending on what "benefits" translates to).

60 000 euros won't get you so much as a cheeseburger in Neuchatel! You'll need to somehow convert it to the crazy local currency first. Is this a real job or did you get an email from the crown prince of Lagos airport?

Would you be entitled to a bonus or does the company have a bonus scheme?

The package was provided by the recruitment firm in UK and advertised in linkedin. Also the bonus is not there.

65k is a perfectly normal salary in Switzerland, but something smells fishy about this particular job... | The following 3 users would like to thank for this useful post: | |

65.000 Swiss Francs is absolutely fine in Neuchatel - but beware. The Euro is in free fall and worth less than 40% of what it was 2 years ago. The Swiss Franc continues to rise and the Euro to drop. Some companies are trying to shift new contracts to Euros and Unions are strongly fighting this. Do not accept a job in Euros I'd say.

The salary however is very low as well. Just to give you an idea. I live in Neuchatel and will be earning 60k in my final year as a PhD student. 60k is more than enough to live on in Neuchatel for a couple...but the salary seems a bit low for someone with 5 years experience.

Just out of curiousity... is this 60K (let's just say it's Francs) a raise by comparison?
Is it a first job after college (entry level)?
Are they paying relo? house hunting? housing? car? transportation? French lessons? etc etc etc
If I were offered a job at 60K I would flatly refuse it. People do live on that much but it will be very, very, very hard in my opinion.

Let me clarify....You are meeting tomorrow with HR for the first time because the recruitment consultancy offered you the job without you meeting anybody from the pharma company....and you are moving from Dubai for this job? And you are hoping that in addition to this salary (in the wrong currency) that you can negotiate a house and a bonus too?
Have I got that right so far?
