| | Telecom Jobs
Hey,
I have a job offer of 85k in Switzerland.
I have 2 years of experience and i´m graduated.
I´m 30 years and i´m single. How much will i pay for taxes, social security and health insurance)?
It´s a good offer?
I´ve checked that everything is quite expensive in Swiss!

Swiss are the people living in the country.

But they should pay your health insurance as well, no?
Did you ask this?
With your 85K normally 25-30% will be deducted for taxes and health insurance. So basically you will be left with 4500-5000 CHF per month, which is enough for a person to live in Switzerland.

Thank you for your help!
So, i´ve checked the taxes will be 13%, health insurance at about 400CHF.
How about social security? I´ve checked in some website that is 12,5% (50% the company and 50% the employer). Is like that?
The only benefits they´ve proposed are those i mentioned. Not relocation nor insurance. Which are the "regular" benefits?

Are you a CAD designer?
An accountant?
A cleaner?
A highly-qualified network engineer with 30 years experience in the little know but highly power software language of Kava D++?
A RF propagation engineer?
A cellphone salesperson?
A tough purchaser that negotiates roaming agreements with other telcos?
A manager of a small department?
A manager of a medium department?
A manager of a large department?
A country manager?
85k varies from a very good salary, to only a fraction of what you should be getting, depending on the job position, description, your age and experience, and your language and permit status
As a very rough rule of thumb: the average salary in CH is about 65k pa.
So your offered salary is 1.3x the average
Compare to your current country of residence, assuming your job is similar.....

Social security is right.
Your benefits are good - most CH companies give no benefits, apart from maybe use of a mobile phone if you need one for the job, and maybe a reduced price canteen if you are lucky.
I have to pay my own half-price card :-(

Single, 2 years exp, Telecom...some benefits.
Sounds about right.
You will be fine.
Work hard, and smart, and you can soon move up to where you don't need to ask if the salary is enough.
Good Luck and Godspeed.
