"we beat the Dutch" ?

I don't recall seeing you on the pitch. If you were, why are you worrying about what may be a sufficient salary in an office job in Switzerland?

The FlyingDutchMan (actually German and living in Frankfurt!) needs his own forum.

This one isn't big enough....

Hey! I've got first dibs!
No chance, I have a 500 metre outdoor "swimming pool" just two hundred metres from my house and an indoor 50m one just four tram stops down the road. AND I live in a fairly low tax place. Bazinga!

Ahhh, you are German and quite forward. Then you will have issues other than salary to contend with once you are here. But carry on.

Good day everyone,

I have looked through the various posts on the topic and would like your opinion on this package offered for a sales position in Zurich.

Responsibilities mannage the sales of a startup internet company based in Zurich.

Base salary 150K CHF + various benefits, train tickets, insurance, plus an additional 10K in allowances for mobile phone usage and sandwiches :O).

On top a commission structure based on revenue. This is a new business intitial revenue grown will be slow for the first months but due to the unique nature of the service/product offered is expected to increase very fast.

OTE earning are expected for year 1 to be around 200K - 250K CHF

1. Is this a competitive package for Zurich?
1a. It does not include a company car is this normal in CH?
2. How much does a nice furnished appt. cost? I have looked at the various website and was a little shocked :O( roughly 2500 CHF+
3. off topic: what is a nice gym and where is a 50m pool in Zurich

Thank you in advance for your replies.

Enjoy the rest of the week.

TFD
I am rather demanding too but allow me one question: What other personal qualities do you have apart from being a "high flyer"?

Re: Have a look at my package: Is this a decent salary for? Zurich

This is a decent salary by any calculation. Whether it is competitive is another matter, and frankly, one that many of us find offensive, as has been pointed out.

I wish I could wish you good luck, but I can't - salaries earned by your peers are pushing up the rental/real estate values for the rest of us. We're well-educated, well-trained professionals in non-sales/non-headcount-cutting positions.

well to give the guy a break, it's not really out of the normal for zurich and he's in a start up company which presumably is creating jobs. it could be worse, he could be a banker and 250k could be a quarter of his bonus for the year.

No, I won't look at your package, thank you very much.

But you seem rather cheap, want to work as my butler?

High flyers don't need to ask if they are being paid enough.

They know they are.

Give him a break, I believe Mr Dutchman is responding as he does because he's not feeling so sure. It's just a defense mechanism.
