Re: Questions about registering late to RAV

The RAV will start paying you money after you have given them a complete dossier,
copy of your permit, your CV, two photos, past employment references, last employer's notice of dismissal, AHV /AVS card, etc

If you are late handing this stuff in, you won't be paid. You also lose the first 3 days pay, as waiting time.

Re: Questions about registering late to RAV

I had a problem getting paid so just keep in contact with your kasse if you have financial issues. In my case I went in seven days after the end of my notice period because I didn't have the paperwork to give them (was in the process of changing addresses so couldn't prove I was able to register in the RAV of my new address without several trips to Lausanne) and I didn't get my first payment for nine weeks from my first rav meeting. No other penalties towards me other than the waiting period for my salary range. It turns out when I asked the kasse, my "rota" with my counselor and sending in the forms put me in a "pay period" of beginning of a month which explained three weeks of it. But still...

Have a little chat with a legal professional about your employer not honouring the notice period. It could be a valuable 100CHF investment.

Re: Questions about registering late to RAV

Many thanks for the information. My case is pretty similar but my employee has misbehaved by shortening the notice period. Now I am late to register. I will try to arrange it. I hope I dont loose my employment benefits fbecause of this. thank you again
