Re: Am I too picky with boss?

Well hopefully you didn't mention the personal and rather prejudiced reasons for leaving the company. I've been in Global retail for 17 years and it's a very small world. Don't ever underestimate the potential of these things biting you in the ass.

Three weeks ago I interviewed someone from a company based in Amsterdam who proceeded to slate her old boss, who I happened to train with in the UK when starting my career....that was a super interesting interview.

Last week I reviewed a new retail system from Atlanta, only to walk into reception and be greeted by two of my old line managers, who had set up the company since I left. I had to leave this company with a payout as one of the managers had severly bullied me under the protective umbrella of her line manger, thousands of miles away. Shortly after an investigation she was kicked out for her unprofessional behaviour.

It was an enjoyable moment watching the realisation on her face that this multimillion pound contract was slipping away before even the handshakes had taken place!

Re: Am I too picky with boss?

Why is the OP arrogant, judgmental and immature? Because he simply didn't like these people and didn't want to put up with them and actually had the pluck to resign? Why should anyone be obligated to stay in a bad situation (and martyr themselves) when they can change it? In his first post, he cited more issues with them than their appearances. Having been in a similar situation to his, I can well understand. His reasons are valid, even if some would disagree.

Never judge a person until you've walked a mile in their shoes.

They are well rid of an employee who is arrogant, judgemental and immature.

You may well be bald and will definitly be untrendy in clothing and attitudes in years ahead. You will be the old fogey complaining about the young and their attitudes and dress and how your era was the only one that was worthy.

Don't you think taking personal revenge with the tools provided by your employer is also unprofessional?
