andreacardona has slipped a little
unemployment office in switzerland....

Does this place really offers some kind of help for foreigners ? i heard about someone who went here for help and apparently they helped to actually get a job... how does this works? anyone who know about this? or actually got some help once arrived here without a job from this place? thanks for your help!

It depends very much on what you do. What type of work are you looking for?

Mostly they have listings for trades, retail, apprenticeships, not really anything for professional, specialized work or if you are a scientist or some very specific job.

They may help you put together your CV or at least read it over.

i'm in the health kind of field...like an biomedical laboratory analyst...i wonder if they can help nevertheless nothing is lose to ask ...thanks!

When I followed up on this, it was actually applying for chommage (social assistance). I wasn't allowed to access any of their services without registering for social aid. If you register it means you give up some rights about what you are looking for and where, and they also have expectations of how many CVs you send out/month, etc - because it is designed as unemployment insurance, and you can't access counsel without going for the whole thing (financial aid included even if you don't want that).

You might be better off looking at placement agencies.
