Just a short question - Is there a minimum wage in CH for a 42 hour week?

AFAIK there is no legal minimum wage. Wikipedia in German states (here follows a rough, summed up translation) that a minimum wage of CHF 3550.00 is recommended. Branches, such as gastronomy and retail tend to employ staff for lower wages - between CHF 2700.00 and CHF 3300.00. Wages under CHF 3000.00 are frowned upon (rightly so, in my opinion) and there are endeavours to introduce a legal minimum wage of CHF 3000.00

There's no minimum wage in Switzerland.

Definitely no minimum wage - I was working in a restaurant (Michelin starred - so they HAVE money) and my salary was only 2000CHF per month and then they take out 400CHF for meals, and the kicker- a typical work week is 75-85 hours per week!

its too much work hours, cant belive more than 10 hours a day.

I was just wondering about the minimum wage in Zurich. I found grocery expensive here than in Austria where I was paying in Euro and then too it is cheaper and better quality than here. No wonder the parking lots were full of cars from St. Gallon all the time in Austria.
