Re: Unemployment

Thanks for the support but I know it is near impossible.

This is called "fixated mental model". It cannot be helped, because once a convict, always a convict.
No one is willing to look beyond that. They can ridicule, do the mobbing themselves, and claim the high ground. Some always do.

Even if I were to post really useful and helpful stuff, there will always be that tiny bone they find...

Never mind. And thanks.

I've been on these forums since, oh, 2007 or 2008. Though your posts indicate you've been here before, I don't remember you, but apparently some of the others do. Unfavorably, it would seem. You're going to have to earn redemption in their eyes - simply disappearing for a while and coming back declaring you've changed doesn't work in any social context.

It also seems that you've got a bit of a chip on your shoulder regarding your own history. Let it drop, contribute positively to the forum, and youll be welcomed, I'm sure.

Your post has "Pity me. I'm a victim" written all over it. Move on, buddy. Pity only lasts about 30 seconds and then gets boring and irritating.

The difference is that you can get pity for free while envy is something you'll need to work for...

Honestly, it is nothing personal. I just hate it if ANY user keeps on banging the "The Swiss authorities treat us foreigners bad" drum without ANY point to back up a claim like that. The problem is that this sort of rubbish has been repeated here so often that newbies or people who are thinking of moving here read it and take it for real... I have lived longer than most EFers in CH and done everything one can do to have to deal with the authorities - married some non-EU girl, moved canton, got unemployed, ... and I can say that while I had many funny incidents did the authorities treat me better than in most other countries, most definitely not worse than locals and in many cases better than back home. And it got actually better over the years...

If you have something to complain about, fine: go to the rants corner and release it there - nobody has any issue with Swiss bashing as long as you do not do it in serious threads. And the ones who do will let you know in the off topic area... Watering down a serious thread with your whining is less interesting.

Sure, I am trying, but no-one is seeing that.
Really. I am NOT asking for pity.
I can also just leave. Some will be happier, since they will find others to pick on.
I am also doing my best to avoid them...but some of them follow (troll) me...

Sure. Trolling in my book means to post stuff that has nothing to do with the topic and only derails discussions. Trolling can be deliberately provocative nor not, but in any way tries to make other people join the useless side discussion.

See, that is a perfect example of trolling. This thread is about getting unemployed, not about you, your feelings, or how the forum treats you unfairly.
Adrian's description of your posts as "meta-comments" fits perfectly; You seem to be pretty egocentric as you keep on writing only about yourself, not the actual topics. Not just here, but consistently so. This is for me clearly provoking a reaction and derailing the thread. We had plenty of those posts before... the mods once even gave you your own thread and asked you to limit the garbage to this single thread to keep the rest of EF clean from your trolling. This should make one think, but apparently not you as you are so convinced that everyone is against you rather it being you acting stupid...

Nobody is following you, you are posting all over the place... so it is pretty hard to avoid your posts. I really tried to give you the benefit of doubt, but you do not seem to get it at all... so I doubt you will change. I do not want to argue about this anymore and many others have tried it before - you are immune to reason.

I promise this is the last time I fell for your trolling and I will ignore you (till the mods will ban you again...)

I do not know HAT, and am relatively new to the EF, so I do not know of any past history and problems with HAT or anyone else.

But, as a relative newcomer and reading through this thread I do feel he is being unfairly mistreated.

He is being accussed of being a Troll & Trolling, well I wasnt 100% sure what trolling was, so found the above definition helpful, except for the fact that HAT was as far as I can see contributing to the original question of this post by relating an experience he has heard of. Now you may argue that what he said was not 100% correct, but we cant all be right all of the time. I personally appreciate hearing peoples experiences and opinions, they arent always right, but they do help.

So, as for the trolling, it seems to me that that was caused by the very people accussing HAT of trolling, and not by HAT himself, which by the post I am now writing I suppose I am now also guilty of as it has nothing to do with the original post.

I have come to like and enjoy EF, but must say I am suprised and dissapointed in what has gone on here. As I said I dont know any history, but history is exactly that 'history'!!!

Re: Unemployment

Thanks Chapper,
My reply to the OP was just to share my experience but I mentioned an unmentionable statement which is then twisted out of proportion.

I don't think I am trolling and secretly enjoying sowing evil here, although some perceive me as such a bad HAT.

I already try to be helpful and factual, so I hope they can see that and stop following or picking a fish bone from an egg.

Peace. Thanks for your support. Your post tells me I am not going crazy or senile.
