Jobs in Telecom Sector(Postpaid Billing, Roaming, Mediation and Provisioning)

Hi,

I am a Software Engineer, with 3+ years of experience. I have been working for Tecnotree Convergence Ltd(The merger of the erstwhile Tecnomen Group-- Finland and Lifetree Convergence Ltd-- India). I have been into billing operations for the past three years for the MTN group and also have had hands on experience in Mediation and Provisioning and Roaming operations. I have been to notably 2 client site operations, 1st MTN CAMEROON(for 6 Months) and 2nd MTN RWANDA(1 year).
I would like to know, how would I apply for jobs related to IT/Telecommunications, preferably Postpaid billing operations in Switzerland. And also, what are the prerequisites needed for application.

Easy...

Write to the companies offering positions. Once you secure a contract for employment with a company in Switzerland.... then the application for your permit starts (which is usually easy once you have a contract). The only thing that will prevent you from obtaining the residency permit is the 50 to 100 Swiss that are applying for the same position. A permit is granted without question if there are not any Swiss citizens that qualify for the position.

Of course you and the thousand other people are applying for the same position, and the most of them know the local language (German, French, Italian or Romansh). English helps, but will not get you by in all aspects of everyday living.

Betcha if you'd use the search here, you will find a dozen other threads that are asking the same thing.

Good luck!
JC

Thank You For your response.

Actually, I do know how to speak in French but I am no good with Romansh or Italian or German.
Basically I am looking for a job as a consultant expat and not planning to settle permanently. It could be on a contract basis for 2 years or so.

Have a look at this thread, as it answers some if not most of your issues about a non-EU seeking work in CH:

I want to live in Switzerland !
