Jobserve Contracts EOY 2012

Hi All

Just checked Jobserve shortly.. SAP Team Leads or Senior SAP Project Managers advertised with a Daily Rate between 600-800CHF. I do not work in SAP, does somebody have insight on this topic? Are Rates dropping for SAP guys as well?

They are either trolling for CV banking on people outside of CH have no idea the rates or the agency is taking the "Drink"!

Terrible

I'm afraid they are trying to take advantage of the crisis and recruit desperate professionals from southern and eastern EU countries.

Rates are dropping across all IT roles. Some exceptions for some skills but yes there is a surplus of IT resources in CH or willing to move here to work for less.

It has become difficult to get visas for Indian people.

Many Indians who came over about two years ago are starting to return to the home land.

That alone will free up jobs.

Re: Jobserve Contracts EOY 2012

20 Eur an hour is a bad joke - that's supermarket cashier money, not SAP consulting. I earned this money in my very first graduate job - and I was utterly underpaid even back then.

400 CHF a day is some 96k a year gross. For a contractor with ten years of PM experience? I don't think so... even a permanent role would pay some 120+, so a contractor should make significantly more.

Rates have dropped but nowhere near that level. Even in Asia can you make 800 CHF a day with the right SAP background.

P.S> The Indians that qualify for high end consulting jobs will continue to get permits - the one big factor in getting your permit is your salary. It gives of course a tax incentive to the Swiss to grant you a permit as well as indicate very clearly if you really are a high educated specialist or not.

Treverus I agree with you. Just FYI, the 20 per hour role was for a Data Modelling Expert. If that is what they offer for an expert, a Junior probably needs to bring money to the Agency to be allowed to work
