Possible to get an IT Network Administrator job without knowing any German Lang?

I am fluent in English both writing, speaking, listening and reading. I have done my masters from Australia and have four years of experience in IT Network/Management field. My wife is from Switzerland and there is enormous pressure on me to move to Switzerland leaving my job in Brisbane. I am bit worried by the fact that I could not speak even a single word of German. Is it possible to get an IT job without any knowledge of German?

Yes. It's a competitive market but you could get by with just English.

Both is used when speaking of two options.

Although I speak German and French, in my job I speak mainly English, since it is the language shared with many of my colleagues.

True, My fingers on the keyboard work faster than my mind. Thanks for pointing it out though.

Re: Possible to get an IT Network Administrator job without knowing any German Lang?

Clearly a topic for a different thread - but I find it a bit amusing that "so many" Swiss women go to Australia to find the love of their live - only to sort-of get homesick after a while and move the husband to Switzerland.

It's a bit like the guys who marry a Thai girl, because they fall in love with the smile and the relaxed personalities and then are taken by surprise that when she's here doesn't smile anymore and is no longer relaxed.

As for the original question: it seems to be possible, but the message I get on this forum is that it hasn't gotten easier in the last years.
International employers now have access to a much larger pool of people actually speaking a semi-decent German, thanks to all the new EU member-countries in Eastern Europe. And almost all of them speak a decent English, too. So competition is quite tough, I suppose.

Do you two (no children involved or planned?) have a way to discuss this rationally?

This is hilarious, quite accurate as well.

Agree. Vice versa only a few aussie ladies get married with a swiss guy. Indeed my wife, australian born and raised, told me she would never ever marry a fellow countrymann. I would love to live in Australia at least for a couple of years.

But you know whats funny: A lot of german women are doing the same with swiss guys.

At op: Multicultural marriages are great but I'll advise you to learn german at least a few words. I'm ain't a moralizer but is fair enough to your wife. I pushed my wife to learn german it was not easy at the beginning but today we can say the best she could do.
