Re: Anyone work for Swiss Re?

Forget about IT jobs at Swiss Re in Switzerland (Zurich, Adliswil), you just waste your time.

If you search for example SQL Sqerver, you will find 47 jobs:

https://careers.swissre.com/search/?q=sql+server

of this 47 jobs, 23 are in Bratislava SK, 13 are in Bangalore IN and 4 in other countries

only 4 seem to be in Zurich Adliswil, but if you check them:

Senior Exchange Engineer

Casualty R&D Quant Support - temporary 50%
Casualty R&D Quant Developer Support - temporary 50%

Senior Cat Model Specialist (80-100%)

then only 1 job (Exchange Engineer) is a "real" IT job

If you search for ".net" you will find 7 jobs, all in Bratislava or Bangalore
Similar for "java".

Swiss Re is still doing heavy IT offshoring (unfortunately). So bad luck for IT guys in Switzerland.

I applied 5 weeks ago and finally see an update "Decision on application pending" dated Nov.3. For such a long way, it looks unusual.

Does it mean I am not short-listed but on the waiting list?
Hello. I know this is an old post but I just wanted to know if you got an interview after this. I also applied 5 weeks ago, but the application still says “in process”.
Who did you contact?

Thanks

How long was the recruitment process? Applied two-three weeks ago and my application is "in process" since the application date, according to the status on the website. Also received what looks like a standard email confirmation last week that my application is still being considered. I guess they are not accepting anymore applications as the job posting has been removed from the website. I fully meet and exceed the requirements for the role but wondering what are my chances? Has anyone gone through the recruitment process? How long is the process from applications to interviews etc.,Thanks!
Hello,

It is an old post but can you share your experience please? I am in the same situation.
Thanks

Anyone working with Swiss Re?

Hello,

I applied for two Programmes at SwissRe in November and the applications closed the same month. For one, I received a rejection mail and for the other that "application is received". Till now there is no update on the second one. Does anyone have a similar experience at Swiss Re?

Thanks
