Minimum for a single [person] living in Zug

Hello everyone, I found a job in Zug and I started Monday. With the contract that I signed up for is 45.500chf net (I have B permit with source taxes) per year (13 salaries) plus 16.800chf for the apartment and utilities as light, tv and internet (they pay it directly)
They also gave me a company cell phone with free calls.
I am 28 years old and I am single, I'm able to cook well and I do not need to buy food already prepared.
Reading the forum I read that a minimum salary to live in Zug is on 120.000chf , do you think I'll survive?
I think that I will buy a car (medium range) in the next months.
Thank you.

Press facetious button.

No, you will not survive, Zug is even more violent than Basel (Read the various threads) and overflowing with yuppies / trendies / bright young things.

Stay away from the lake, it is infested with crocodiles.

Press facetious button - again.

Thanks, but I'm used to Pescara, every day I have to fight against sharks and pirates who live on the beach so I will not have problems

Re: Minimum for a single that living in Zug

Given that accommodation is covered, it sounds like a reasonable salary to me.

Don't worry about the 120k business. Not many people really earn that much.

You'll be perfectly fine, don't worry!

If you were married with 2-3 kids it would be tighter, but here no worries!

60kchfs is fine for a single person and i guess a normal salary.

you can start your own phone sex line business and use the company phone to call it 24/7 to top up your income.

Re: Minimum for a single [person] living in Zug

I would be slightly concerned at the accomodation budget.

You say the employer is paying for it (as well as other costs) which means that they are spending ~1000chf / month for the flat itself.

1000chf / month doesn't get you much in Zurich and Zug has even higher rents - I would check this out carefully. If it is furnished and only costs 1000chf a month, I would think it would be an absolute dive.

To be fair, on a 45k net salary you need to assume that the position is not a high one, therefore they aren't going to go crazy with the accommodation budget.

It'll likely be a (very) small studio.

Flat is in Hertizentrum, at second floor and about 40sm; for me is ok; it's all new with new furnitures and other things like a new iron, a new Hoover, a new Nespresso machine ecc...
