So they even told me that I should receive even less than I did...
Seems being married means nothing for this people, and 3200CHF to support a house and wife, +2 health insurance it's great, way to go!

It's the same for everybody.......If you take holiday whilst on RAV you probably won't get paid those days as they will come out of the Holiday pay fund |

Hi There,
I have a specific question on the salary calculation done by Arbeitlosenkasse/Caisse de chomage.
The situation is following:
Last year(2014) my wife was with RAV/ORP for 40 days. She got the salary based on her last six months salary at that time. After that she got a temporary contract job for six months exactly. This job had higher salary than before.
But now the Arbeitlosenkasse/Caisse de chomage has calculated based on old(lower) salary.
Question: We were expecting that the calculation will be based on most recent six month salary. Is this correct?
On phone with my basic french, the person at Caisse de chomage could not understand the situation. I am planning to there personally to ask. However, I would like to know the actual rule. Can somebody provide more information on this situation.
Cheers

Cheers | | | | | Your wife is in an open rahemnfrist, any unemployment for a 2 year period is based on that. Nothing can be done, any new rahemnfrist is based on 12 months earnings during the current rahemnfrist with salary based on the last 6 months earnings.

FYI - I have just now the confirmation that ALK(Caisse de chomage) has taken into account the most recent six months Salary. She had recalculated because she forgot April month's salary...

It sounds most odd & your insured salary should shown along with the applicable dates on your monthly payout form.

Actually, I have not seen the letter as I am away.
What I know is that, for April month they have deducted 9 days for waiting period and gave salary for remaining day(s). They have corrected 'taggeld'.

| | Re: Unemployment Benefits calculation | Quote: | | | | | I have a RAV question and I don't want to start a new thread because the topic in this thread is similar...
At the end of my 16 week mat leave (my baby is due end of May, contract ends 30 Sept) I will need to enroll for RAV. I would like to "extend" my unemployment time for 2 months so that I can nurse my baby without the hassle of pumping/working for the last two months. Plus I will have my severance to live off of.
Is it possible to enroll for RAV as of Oct 1 but put the payments "on hold" for 2 months? I don't expect to be paid during this time as I wouldn't be applying for jobs.
If an employer can't fire you for wanting to stay home (unpaid) for 2 extra months, can RAV punish you for the same reasons?
Sorry to hijack, appreciate any answers.
I suppose I could always enroll Oct 1 and "pretend to look and apply" kind of thing but I don't want to take advantage of a system just because it's there. | | | | | Hello,
Could you please provide the update on how it worked for you ? I am in a similar situation. Your feedback would be really helpful.
