Hello all,
My husband has accepted a contract position with ETH Zurich for 1.2 years beginning in October. The university is sponsoring him under an L Permit, and has applied for a work permit for me as well.
We are US citizens and my employer has committed that they would like to keep me employed working remotely in Zurich, assuming we can work out the logistics.
Does anyone have experience working for a US based company that does not have an entity in Switzerland? I've received varied information regarding contract or self-employment in Zurich and then invoicing my employer, staying on US payroll, etc., but the best approach is not clear.
I'd love to hear feedback if anyone has similar experience or insight.
