Yes, please do DaphneZhang as it is a bit of a grey area as to who does and doesn't get work included. With so many different factors to consider all info is useful in trying to make sense of how these things are decided.

It will say on the back of your permit whether you can work immediately or not. I don't know what the German phrases are but in French it's "activité lucrative" if you can work and "sans activité lucrative" if you can't.

Im a Malaysian Chinese who hold a british degree in Business IT.

Being here on & off for nearly 2 years in Zug, despite speaking fluent english, Chinese & etc. But still no chance/ being rejected to get a job here as I can't speak German :S

hi..just to update you guys that after have been waiting for around 10 weeks, we finally get our visa to go Switzerland, but it's not a permit yet...

You'll get the permit once you are physically here and register at the local municipality.

Just to update you guys I get my B permit yesterday & it allows that I can working here.
