You would need to have your qualifications recognised. This is the organisation to contact.
You are a doctor, dentist, veterinarian, pharmacist or chiropractor and would like to work in Switzerland? Contact:
Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH)
MEBEKO
CH-3003 Bern
T +41 31 322 94 83 www.bag.admin.ch MEBEKO-Ausbildung@bag.admin.ch
I suspect you would need to get a Masters degree in India too. Medicine as a study subject is not open to foreign nationals here in Switzerland so you couldn't do your degree here.
More importantly however, is that you would need to speak a Swiss language to a high level of proficiency - German, French or Italian depending on which part of the country you plan to move to. English isn't a language of Switzerland, although having it is a bonus. But if you can't communicate with your patients you aren't going to have any, simple as that.

I have a friend who is a dentist trained in India, they do not recognise her qualifications - she would need to re-train the whole degree in German, French or Italian...so the medical training is all in an official language.
I also know a russian medical specialist who re-did her complete training again in German in order to work in Zurich...

Sorry, little chance to be recognized in Switzerland as a dentist from outside of the EU, without re-qualification.
For more information, write to jobs@sso.ch. The Swiss dental association is called SSO. ( www.sso.ch) They can tell you more.

Assuming you are a non-EU citizen, you will also need to obtain a work/ residence permit to work in Switzerland: https://www.ch.ch/en/working-foreign...-requirements/ | This user would like to thank Mullhollander for this useful post: | |

It all depends on the legislation of each Canton. In principle, you should have a federal recognition if you want to open your own surgery. In that case you should follow the way stated before.
However, in Canton Fribourg they easily turn a blind eye to this federal requirement and provide a Cantonal recognition that has nothing to do with the SSO nor MEBEKO. In the school dental service (public service) there are Syrian, Turkisch, African, Rumanian and other foreign dentist who are allowed to work as salaried employees without having ever passed any federal examination and without supervision as it is the case in other Swiss cantons.
You can find the simple requirements here: http://www.fr.ch/ssp/de/pub/gesundhe...sausuebung.htm |

Plus she needs to speak a Swiss language to a high level.
I think Trotzig's comment may be misleading. I checked a few of the professions in his link and most say the applicant needs to provide a certificate from either the Swiss Red Cross or the relevant authority. This for the dental hygenist.
" Ordinary procedure
In order to be able to issue you a practice authorization, we need a file containing the following documents:
> Completed application form
> Curriculum vitae updated in French or German
> Original or certified copy of your diploma recognized by the Red Cross; Respectively: original or certified copy of the certificate of equivalence of your foreign training certificate issued by the competent Swiss authority
> Recent extract (3 months at most) of the Swiss criminal record; If you have not yet been in Switzerland for less than 5 years: recent extracts issued in one of the three national languages or in English by the authorities of the countries where you have stayed during the last 5 years
> Original medical certificate (max. 3 months) attesting the fitness to practice
> Certificate3 of professional liability insurance coverage or declaration of the establishment in which you work attesting that you are covered by your professional civil liability insurance
> Copy of photo ID
> Where applicable: Copy of residence permit"
As far as I know there's no exam required, just that any relevant degrees must be recognised by the Swiss Red Cross or whatever the relevant authority is. So there may well be Syrian, Turkish, African, Romanian and other foreign dentists working here, but they've provided the relevant paperwork and been approved.

We are in same situation. My wife speaks German and certified B2 level. But still her Indian Dentist degree could not be recognized here. The way we understand you must be Eu or Swiss citizen or married to... A must for recognition. I would highly appreciate if some one has gone through the process and guide us. We spoke to Sso, Uni, Mebeko but no luck.

The only way I would see would be to study in an EU Country, get a degree
there and possibly citizenship. Then you would be able to work here as
a Dentist. Of course, you still have to learn a local language. It is not
impossible, but it is a large hill to climb.

As HollidayG said, probably only by doing a medical degree in an EU country would she be able to get her degree recognised here.

Would be very hard.... these are closed professions not jobs that people can apply for. The best and least stressful is to retrain.
