Working in Mcdonalds

I was wondering how is it when you work here in Mcdonalds 100%. How much hours do you work per day and how much do they pay.

You can enquire yourself:

http://jobs.mcdonalds.ch/de

Information available on holidays on each position. I guess for how much they pay, you might need to contact them and ask.

It's great ... 8.5 hours per day, 1 hour lunch. Pay is 24.80 per hour.

You can eat as much as you like from the value range all day. So even though the pay is low you can make up for it in value food.

Beware. Pay and conditions are poor. Mobbing is rife.
The disgusting smell (which follows you home) from working there is impossible to get rid of even after long showers, open windows and use of air fresheners. All in all a depressing and very unhealthy lifestyle choice.
I had a student who worked there. I had to switch the lessons to my flat instead of theirs as I could not bear the smell in their flat.

It could make you sick or give you an upset tummy though! Not very nice. There are plenty of healthier options to choose from without going into the establishments that serve some of the most disgusting food in the world!

'Now and again' could lead to a dangerous addiction.

Maybe not an odd one every now and then, but it would be good if people would get more educated on the risks associated in case of a more regular consumption.

More on this here (from September 2015).

Fish Mac is also good.

Personally, I'm always impressed by the professionalism of the people taking my order

Yes, indeed. In case anyone hasn't seen or the other movie, here's a short discussion/reviews on both: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0390521/...0?ref_=tt_bd_5

Then there would be an awful lot of people who would be much healthier and slimmer than they are right now!

Healthier <> slimmer - but you knew that didn't you!

The odd bit of processed food is not going to kill you - and is not (that) addictive. Problems arise when processed food consumption becomes normal.

Hmmmm Sausage and Egg McMuffin!

The problem is though, it has become normal, and lots of it is addictive, that's why McDonald's restaurants are always packed.

McDonalds serves 63m people per year from 36k restaurants. That's around 1,750 people per restaurant per day - and lets say that 30% of that is from drive-thru or takeaway - leaving around 1225 per day.

1225 over 16 hours = 77 per hour. With an average service time of 3 minutes.

The McDonalds at the London Olympics was 10* the size of the average UK restaurant (Seating 1500 people) - taking that down you get 150, lets halve that.

Or in other words - every person who buys to consume on premises will stay an hour based on your "always packed" comment. :p
