Urgently looking for a translator for rav interview

Hello everyone,

My name is Nadine. I am Russian , originally from Moscow. I moved in Zurich in April and started to look for a job since I got my B permit - in June.

I don't even know what to write here what's wrong with me with finding a job.. I apply every day, I've broaden up my search as much as I could, I am not only focused on my key skill set ( B2B Sales, Account Management, Recruitment), I approach HR agencies, I do follow up for most of my applications... No success. Interviews I had ( where I had a real positive feeling ) in the end turned into "no" with the reason such as "no German speaker", "overqualified", "no experience in CH before", "too young". So I went to learn German , everyday, intensive course... I started to volunteer in some projects such as TEDxZurich.. But no success in finding a job! Those who've been or now are in this situation, knows how depressing it is. I've used to be one of the best employees back in previous work, and now I am not confident anymore. I look for a job for 6 month and nobody wants to give me a chance.

I've decided to give a try and went to RAV. My friend recommended me to go there as they may help to find a job.

I will have an interview in RAV Badenerstrasse 296, 8004 Zürich on 6th January at 13:30! It's going to last maximum 1 hour!
Unfortunately , my A2 level of German will not be enough to understand everything so I will highly appreciate if anyone can help me with being my translator for this 1 hour!!!

Thank you all!
And Happy New Year!!!

Sincerely,
Nadine

A list of temporary employment agencies in Zurich is at this link:

http://tel.search.ch/?was=tempor%C3%...BCrich&pages=2

The largest ones are probably:
Adecco
Manpower
Kelly Services

See this link for links to their websites:

Re: Urgently looking for a translator for rav interview

Even for experienced people finding a new job can sometimes take a year or more here. Are making it clear on your CV that you have a B permit that allows you to work?

Re: Urgently looking for a translator for rav interview

This might seem obvious, but... do you highlight enough the fact that you already have a permit B and are allowed to work (use big bold letters in your CV, probably in your cover letters as well)?

Yes, I highlighted as much as I could. This is a first thing on my resume! It is very harsh to take it as a fact that it is THAT HARD to find job here!

Re: Urgently looking for a translator for rav interview

Hi Nadine

Yes, indeed, actually it's hard to find a job in Switzerland, even for native people. Unfortunaly I can't come to Zurich for your date with the RAV but normaly, the guys there, will speak also in english.
For the jobresearch: www.tutti.ch is a good place to get a "starter job". They oftenly aren't well paid but, to start it's not bad.
All the best for you and a good start in the new year.

Re: Urgently looking for a translator for rav interview

It is currently quiet hard to find a job, because of end of the year ,nobody
wants to hire. I got a permit C and I am searching as well, i done around 100
applications in 6 weeks and got only 3 interviews.
The rest was refusals because of the "Anforderungsprofil" or did not replied .

In the month january nothing big will happen until the middle of the month, because the companys have to analyze the results of 2015.

Keep motivated, keep watching the usual websites, do applications everyday, learn the local lingo.

To keep the permit , it is better to look for an unlimited contract(no temporary work)

Look at jobagent.ch, jobs.ch, indeed.ch (these websites got the most vacancies )

The Job of the RAV is to evaluate your chances on the jobmarket, check if you are doing enough applications.
It is your job to do the applications/CV to meet the expectations of the RAV .

Re: Urgently looking for a translator for rav interview

Hello, thanks for your message!
Yes, definitely, I know about meeting job application requirements in RAV and as I am doing it everyday, I think there should be no problem.
Funny fact: people around me always say that this is not the best time to look for a job, whether it's summer (everyone in vacations), autumn (too busy and blah blah), winter (all money on new hirings were spent + holidays) I believe no matter what still keep looking hard!

Re: Urgently looking for a translator for rav interview

When this is your first interview at the RAV, have your applications and your CV
ready to hand them over to the agent.
You will be instructed to fill out this formular:

http://www.treffpunkt-arbeit.ch/date...llbar_korr.pdf

You have to fill out this formular until the 05th of the upcoming month and send them to the RAV(can be done by E Mail, Postage or drop the envelope
at the RAV)

You will receive another formular, where you declare your state of joblessness, if you were sick, absent, did worked etc.

Did you worked in another country (EU) ?

I know how hard it is to find a job especially at the end of the year.
Hopefully your luck will get better around march/april as this seems to be the time where companies starts hiring. good luck!
