Hello,
I'm a US Citizen, about to marry a Swiss citizen next month. We will be living in Switzerland after we get married and I hope to get a B permit.

I currently work in New York for a US based bank. I do IT for them, and they are perfectly happy to have me work from Switzerland for them. They would continue to pay me in US$ to a US bank account.

Is this doable? How would taxes work? What about Social Security, 401K and their swiss equivalent? Does anyone have any experience with this kind of working arrangement? Any advice appreciated.

Also, does anyone know of an accountant who can help in this situation? I'm guessing this will involve being familiar with both US and Swiss tax laws.

Have a look around the forum, this has been asked before. In short, US taxation is citizenship-based, while the rest of the world is residence-based, so you pay both taxes. However, you pay the Swiss "first", and reduce your US tax burden that way.
