Apply for it and see what response you'll get.

Unless your CV is the best of the best you'll get nowhere as you are non-EU and employing you will require the company to jump through 18 flaming hoops.

Do you speak German?

While the ad doesn't explicitly state it, German is usually a must.

"You have clear understanding and proven expertise in creation of construction documents and can communicate BIM and 3D-modelling principles to colleagues, clients, contractors and collaborators."

A lot of those colleagues, clients, contractors and collaborators only speak German.

No I don't. What if I learn in few months. Any other eligibility criteria for such jobs other than language. And what are the other ways to land a job in Swiss.

Thanks,
Rakesh

Very very dificult as you see there is not much oxygen in Swiss, far more though in Switzerland.

Unless you have very special skills that are not able to be found in a Swiss or EU person, you won't get a permit.

If you can find a job in your field that doesn't need German but fluent English and whichever Indian languages you speak, then you may have a chance. Aerospace industry is fairly limited here and closed shop, Ruag and Pilatus are the big boys here.

Re: BIM MEP Designer Draftsman jobs in AEC industry Switzerland

Welcome to the forum, but it's going to be difficult. As said, non-EU nationals are last in the hiring queue as priority is given to Swiss/EU nationals. The criteria for non-EU hiring is outlined here:

https://www.sem.admin.ch/sem/en/home...zulassung.html

If you can find an employer willing to take the time and expense of trying for a permit you might stand a chance. But unless your skills/experience are excellent and way past anyone else's don't hold your breath. The Swiss recently voted to curb immigration from the EU and while the government opted for not imposing EU quotas even more emphasis is being put on employers to hire Swiss first, EU second and anyone else last.

And many of those 18,000 Indians will either be on Indian contracts where they're sent to Switzerland for 1 or 2 years or are on short term L permits from Swiss employers which again only apply for 1 or 2 years.

You need to be able to understand what people say.
Not the translation, not just the words - the meaning and the significance of what was said.

I would be very surprised if one could learn that in a few months without being exposed to the culture directly.

Try Germany, live there for a few years, get the passport, then apply in Switzerland (assuming the bilateral agreements are still in place then).
