Hello

I am a 19 year old American with very little job experience and am still in the process of learning Swiss German. I am engaged to a Swiss man, and we will be planning on getting married which will grant me a right to work in Switzerland.

But my only question is;
How do you get a job in Switzerland with no college experience, no language skills, and little to no job experience?

Is there people out there that would hire someone like me in Switzerland? I feel like the only way to get a job for myself is through connections, which I do not have at the moment.

Does anyone have any idea?
Your only realistic option in the short-term is fast food restaurants or similar, and even then you are going to need a basic level of German.

Job opportunities in CH completely aside, while I admire your commitment and agree with it (thanks for writing the quoted part, btw), a commited and supportive partner backing up a major move of continents is not always the scenario. A completely dependant, jobless and only English speaking teenager can find herself in a pretty difficult situation and fast. Her family is far, her finances maybe too, if any. Her knowledge of CH might come from a few bars of Toblerone and some cups of love flavor Swiss Miss. I entirely agree with the couple investing in eachother's employability and flexibility. The info she is trying to get here should be long coming from her guy, btw, too.

I am not trying to rain on OP's parade at all, there are sweet stories around here as well. I just hope she knows her guy well and from his own, native and usual environment. I hope that OP and her adventurous spirit can pull through, I did and don't regret despite the journey being somewhat a challenge at times. I pass through SG very often and love the area, it is quite particular.
Thanks for saving me the job of typing (in a nicer way than I would, too) why the OP's situation is very unenviable for a 19-year old woman. Call my cynical but this sounds like two lovestruck teens making a heat of the moment decision based on zero practical logic and I somehow doubt it will end too well (to put it mildly) for the OP.

Hello,
Does anyone here know about companies hiring people with no experience who need unskilled labor and are willing to train the candidate in the specific sector in order to complement the workforce? please can you send me quick answers or just reply here.
I am also interested in fast German courses if anyone can indicate in Swiss mediation.
Please to comment names or references I leave the email to inbox do not need to expose the name here if this is the case.
Thank you all for the attention.
If you are Brazilian, and have not an EU citizenship, you have zero chance to get a job in Switzerland.

Re: Getting a Job With No Experience

I couldn’t resist - but there are a couple places in Dubendorf and Solothurn that would hire her - money is great, no language skills needed

And entrepreneurial opps available on Langstrasse.

Nope, even that avenue has been closed.

Re: Getting a Job With No Experience

I saw an app advertisement for temp jobs: adia

Sorta like a catch all net for temp jobs. You choose which ones you want, and have monthly timesheet.

Anyone have experience with this?

Any word on how @Indigofire is doing?
Maybe she can offer some advice?

If I were you I would start by learning German. It's a good place to start

Still changes not much to the fact that she will be at the bottom of the food chain when finding a job, as she is non EU

That's because this thread was started by19-year-old American woman (from USA) wanting to marry her Swiss boyfriend and move to live with him in Switzerland, and now - since deemed thematically relevant - has been revived by a Brazilian working in Dubai and wanting to move to Switzerland. Whether he/she has a boyfriend… we don't yet know that.

Some of the past few threads were in response to the 19-year-old (who seems to have left her own thread) and others in response to the Brazilian. So the thread got a big confusing.
