Role in HR and job boards
Hi everyone, I have got a couple of questions for all of you, I hope you can help me. I'm new to the Swiss market and totally puzzled by job boards. Long story short, my partner and I will relocate from London to Zurich in a couple of months and she'll be looking for roles within HR. She's currently learning German (but still at the A1-A2 level) and obviously speaks perfect English and a couple of other languages. Although she has a huge experience in international contexts and is bombarded by offers in London, she's finding hard to get a positive response from international companies through job boards. She seems to get the pre-compiled "regret" response" from them even if the role is exactly the same she performs in London. I understand fierce competition but I think there may be something else
My questions to you guys are
1) do job boards work?
2) when you found a job, was it through job boards or recruiters?
3) Are roles on job boards usually already filled ie. a candidate is already available to the firm and publication on job boards is just to show that some search in the market has been performed?
