legal advice - employment law

I have a question relating to an employment contract - something that an employment lawyer should be able to answer in a few minutes. As I need to have few short paragraphs of contract interpreted, and as I can not reveal details of my contract in public, I would kindly ask for any volunteer to achieve this via private message.

Thank you for your help.

Switzerland is small and I don't want to risk my future employer finding out, that I'm posting his stuff on the internet.

If it's that straight-forward, then usually a generic description is adequate to get a qualified response.

If you need confidentiality then get a real lawyer.

Well in my experience, in 95% of all cases of employment questions posted here, there is nothing particular or peculiar about any contract and no employment lawyer is needed to "interpret" a paragraph.

Guess if you want personal, private advice, asking in a public forum isn't the best option. There are a handful of lawyers here that post regularly, though not sure if they are specialized on Swiss employment law (see above, likely no need). If you don't want to post the question but need urgent advice, well then you probably have to find a lawyer the old-fashioned way.

Re: legal advice - employment law

Hi OP

Thanks for your pm - no, I am not a lawyer ;-), but do recognise that your question is valid, and a clause that many here will be familiar with - I very much doubt that your potential future employer will recognise you if you describe it in the same way as a general question.

I could forward your pm to someone that knows about employment law here, but pms are also considered confidential here.

If you need the info., then just put it in your post - you're right - it will be a quick response!

All the best!

would kindly ask if you could forward PM.

yes, I'd ask as general question, but unfortunately I'm not confident in my google-translate skills when it comes to detail-important text as the employment contract would be.

thank you

So asking to sending it as a private message to some random individual is less risky

still better than copy pasting content publicly, where one can not edit posts. So yes, in general it is better unless there is a secret circle jerk of private-messaging orgy going on...

Re: legal advice - employment law

So just put the sentence(s) without any names or company or any other details on the forum. I do not think that this is special case. I have been 20 years here and have heard so many exclusion/inclusion clauses - unless it involves use of your wife as a default, I do not think that you have much to lose by getting some feedback.

If it is too personal, then get a lawyer.

No one knows your name - so what is your problem? Why did you bother to ask the in the first place?
I currently have a Rechts Schutz lawyer working for me - if it is a 10 second question I can ask her. If it is complicated, then - you try the Forum or get your own lawyer.
Send me a simple PM or do the Forum - which will give you more answers.
