Re: Salary - Living Cost Help

In an age where we're paying junior programmers 300k, 185k doesn't seem so hot. But I suppose if you cut your coat according to your cloth and can bear the taste of farmed caviar (really, it's awful), then you can scrape some kind of living on it.

1k is for taxis .. Some people don't do public transport you know..

I can understand that, apparantly there's even a time limit when taking a crap in a train station toilet, go over the limit and an old lady kicks open the door and puts your crap in a plastic bag and you need to take it home and you get fined.

(Or something like that, i didn't actually read the whole story)
Yep, robidog is a big thing here and spreading.

If one is going to defecate in a taxi, then it's only good manners to use a plastic bag.

I'm a senior programmer. I had no idea of the poverty my junior colleagues had to subsist in.

"Spreading" would not be my first choice of words in the context of Robidog!

Re: Salary - Living Cost Help

If you really wanted to save money, it would be better to leave the family in a cheap and cheerful place and commute to work. Maybe Air BnB.
You would have money in the bank for later in life.
