The RAV Zug started a project to help unemployed english speaking expats.
They offer three courses a year for up to 15 people each. Participants of this course will learn about specialties in the swiss job market.

Radio Pilatus mentioned that as well as a project for "expads"

Someone must be an apple-fan there.....

I guess financing this project is cheaper than financing all those highly qualified unemployed foreigners.

Re: Pilot project for unemployed expats in Zug

I'm curious why they say this is a new idea; perhaps it is for Zug. I was unemployed and sent on such a course about 14 years ago in Zurich. It was a great offer to receive such support and be able to mix with others in English; friendships were made and the whole burdensome process was more tolerable.

I understand similar courses for 'Kader' / management level candidates are still offered in English in ZH. If you're in Zurich and feel uncertain with your language skills, ask your advisor if any such programme is available. They don't always offer stuff which is there to be used.

Best of luck to those seeking. Keep going.
